The Garuda bird, Khruṯh in Thai, is a mystical creature present in the fairy tales of all of east-asia. The wings of the bird form the roof of the main lobby. The distinctive roof shape and associated decorative elements are used in different manners throughout the project. The story of the fabulous bird becomes the central theme of the resort environment. It impregnates the architectural forms, the interiors and the landscape design.
